Blogging is profitable. That’s probably why you are doing it. A lot of us make a full-time income from our blogs, I’m sure you aware of that.
But the truth is; not all bloggers make money from their blogs.
When I started blogging in 2016, I wasn’t even making enough money to take care of my daily needs. In fact, it took me three years to discover how to make $7,000 per month, and I can bet you, most bloggers don’t even make a hundred dollars a year.
I can prove this with figures.
Here is a stat from Gwarn as at 2019, about 60% to 80% of blogs where abandoned within one month. That’s a sure sign they did not generate any revenue.
I’m not trying to discourage you though, I want to help you make enough money from your blog. This guide will reveal the best and easiest ways to monetize a blog.
Seriously, I will show you the best, easy and quick ways to make money blogging, but I must remind you, you must target and build the right audience, otherwise, none of these methods will work for you.
Let’s dive right in…
1. Print and sell T-shirts:
If you have a passion for fashion, you can start a blog on the fashion Niche and make a lot of money from selling T-Shirts to your audience.
Printing and selling T-shirts online is easy. You don’t even have to invest in heavy printing machines. With the help of recent technology, you can print and sell T-Shirts without touching any material.
I will tell you how.
PRINTFUL Is a printing company that can print and ship your T-shirt designs to your customers. You don’t have to worry about anything.
You only need to design a T-shirt and place them for sale on your blog. Once a customer makes a purchase, the company will take the wheel from there. They print it, package it, and ship it to your customer on your behalf.
It’s really that easy.
Printing and selling T-shirts is one of the most lucrative and evergreen business you can venture into. Fashion industry is not going away any time soon. And because you are a blogger, it will be very easy for you to build a loyal audience.
Bu you must be aware, in as much as T-shirt printing business is profitable, there will always be competition. You must choose a niche and concentrate on it, if you want to succeed.

2. Collect money for reviews:
If you are on the tech niche or any other niche where products and services can be sold, and if you usually write reviews on your blog, then you can take money writing paid/sponsored reviews.
Writing a sponsored review can bring in $200 to $1000 daily, depending on your audience size. Some brands may also give you a sample of their product to test and write about. Or even give you access to a premium service so you can write a proper review.
To get started with paid product review, your blog should be well known, else you have to hunt for product owners yourself.
The best way to find advertisers is to sign up for a network that connects you with them. Here are some paid review finding networks:
- Izea pay per post
Once you find a product owner, go ahead and negotiate price with them.
Paid reviews is a good way to bring in extra profit, but bear in mind that the trust of your readers is at stake, as some of the products may not be a good one.
To keep the ground level, only accept sponsored review from brands you trust, and add a disclaimer to the review, saying: “This review is sponsored by (brand name)”.
3. Sell online courses:
If you are very knowledgeable, about a particular topic, you can create e-courses around that topic and sell to make profit.
Investing in education is an emerging trend for both old and young people. And online courses has come to make it easier than anything.
Normally, it cost a lot of money to go through a high institution. A study by Daniele Douglas-Gabriel (Washingtonpost.org) found that the average tuition and other fees at a private institution is $33,480 each year. That’s a lot of money, and there is no sign of dropping.
The high cost of tuition fees has made people to look for other alternatives, and luckily, there is.
Online courses are not expensive, and someone can learn from anywhere, even in their living room, and at their best time.
For WordPress users, you can start creating and selling your courses on your blog by simply installing an LMS plugin like Learndash
4. Paid memberships:
What about creating premium contents? You could make a lot of money selling membership levels to access your premium contents.
It can easily be done on WordPress using membership plugins.
If you are an authority in your niche, and constantly providing contents that answers your audience’s questions, they won’t mind spending their money to get more.
Premium contents can be a written blog post, a pdf report, a pod cast, video or anything else.
Jon Morrow does it very often on his blog (https://smartblogger.com/).
You can also do the same by stalling a membership plugin in your WordPress website. Here are the best WordPress membership plugins:
- WooCommerce Memberships
- Restrict Content Pro
- Paid Memberships Pro
- aMember Pro

5. Affiliate Marketing:
If you have a blog targeting a specific audience, then you can make enough money promoting affiliate offers. Affiliate marketing is the sweetest way to monetize a blog. You only need to place affiliate links on your blog and make money when someone clicks and take action.
This is what I have been doing with my blogs for some time, and making over $7,000 monthly.
Affiliate marketing is the hottest way to make money online with your blog, and you know what? Almost all bloggers are doing it. You do not need to be an experienced marketer before you can make money blogging.
There are different affiliate programs that can pay you a high commission depending on your niche.
Here are other affiliate marketplace where you can find high commission products:
- Amazon Associate Program
- Commission Junction
If you need to understand more about affiliate marketing, I have written a step by step guide on how to start an affiliate marketing business from scratch.
6. Sell EBooks:
If your blog is already getting hundreds to thousands of daily traffic, then it can be monetized by selling digital products.
EBooks is one of the easiest digital product you can create and sell on your blog. I still do this on this blog, and getting a minimum of $50 daily.
Writing an eBook may not take you a whole day. If you are not very good at writing, or you don’t have time to spare, you can get an eBook with resell rights from sites like eBookjunkie. Just head over to their website and browse through their list of e-books in different categories.
PRL (Private Label Rights) e-books are the kind of e-books you can buy and resell to your audience at your own price. You have the rights to edit the e-book to your taste and make it more like original, so you can sell a different version of what everyone else is selling.
To sell an e-book on your blog, simply install Easy Digital Download on your WordPress blog. For BlogSpot users, Read Kristen DeCosta Guide on how to create an e-book store on Blogger.com using Selz/
Even if you don’t much traffic to your blog, you can convert your e-book to a kindle book and sell them on Amazon.
7. Sponsored Posts:
Sponsored posts work similarly to paid reviews. Here you collect money from companies to write about their products and services or even write about their brand.
Just like paid reviews, before you can get companies to sponsor a post on your blog, you must have huge traffic to your blog.
A sponsored post can be charged between $200 and $1000 depending on the amount of traffic your website gets. The more traffic, the more money you charge.
Again, it’s not always a good idea to host sponsored posts on your blog. But if need be, it’s a good way of making money. But don’t forget to tell your audience that you charged for those posts buy adding a label to it, or adding a little disclaimer below or above the post.
8. Offer professional service:
There are people who offer professional services through their blogs. someone like Neil Patel. This guy is making a lot of money.
Neil Patel reported making over $20,000 per month through his SEO consultation service.
You can as well the same thing with your blog. For example, if you are very good at your Niche, you can become an authority there and let others consult you. I bet you will be making a whole lot of money.
Take a look at Keith Kakadia’s blog. He’s helping businesses grow through his social media marketing advice. Guess how much he’s making.
I will help you….
She’s bringing in roughly $106,794 every single month! Crazy, right? Other social media strategists like Selena Gomez are getting almost double what he’s making.
You don’t have to be an SEO guy like Neil, or a Social media strategist like Keith Kakadia Before you can make money with your blog. You can start with what you know how to do.
For example, a lot of people find it difficult to customize their blog, you can charge them a little money to show them how to do it.
There are several services you can offer and make money. I’ll list some of them below:
- Content Marketing
- Website Design / Redesign
- SEO Consultation
- Website Analyst, etc.
9. Sell physical products:
Selling physical products on your blog is another way to make huge money online. But first, you will need a product to sell. If your company produces goods, then you can promote them on your blog to generate more sales.
It is not really easy to manufacture a product, but if you have a loyal audience, you can partner with other manufacturers and sell their products on your blog.
You can as well buy products in a discounted price from other companies and sell them on your blog to make profit.
Here is an example:
Dude Gadgets is a website that sells Gadgets to over 18 Country, but none of the products listed on their website was manufactured by them, instead, they buy those products from manufacturers and sell them at their own price.
It is similar to dropshipping, but the only difference is that you will buy and keep stock of those products.
10. Sell printable:
One of the easiest and most coolest ways to make money with your blog is creating digital printable you can sell.
A digital printable is any kind of product a customer can buy and print out. They can be all sorts of products, including Graphics, Checklist, Trackers, Templates, e-books, Inspirational Quotes, and more! If it can be downloaded and printed out, it’s a printable.
Michelle of secretowlsociety.org shared how she made over $30,000 selling printables. And you can also do what she does.
Printables can be sold directly on your blog, or through other platforms like Amazon and Esty store. Though these other platforms will charge you a certain amount percentage of the sales. For example, if you sell through Amazon, you will be charged 30% of the sales price.
Printables are just so valuable. Even if you decide not to sell them, you can offer them as a lead magnet and grow your email list.
11. Display Google AdSense Ads:
If you have a blog that people actually read, then you can make money with Google AdSense program. A lot of bloggers rely only on AdSense to drive revenue, and I’ve written a no-bullshit guide on how to earn $3,000 per month using Google AdSense.
But there is a problem:
AdSense has a very strict policy. You must be very careful not to violate any of their policies otherwise, your account may attract suspension, of at worst, disabled.
Google AdSense works by displaying third-party ads on your website and give you 75% share of the ads cost.
It’s pretty cool.
Adsense program pays in both CPC (Cost Per Click) and CPM (Cost Per “thousand” Impression) basis. So, whether or not your readers click on an ad, you will earn. The only thing you need is a high volume of traffic. (See how you can drive 100,000+ monthly traffic to your blog)
Displaying Google AdSense ads on your blog is the easiest way to make money on my list because you do not necessarily need any extra work from your side. AdSense ads are optimized for click. There is a high tendency that people seeing your ads will click on them.
Ads will blend with the design and contents on your blog.
To get started with Google AdSense, you need to register on the platform using your Gmail account and wait for a few days for your blog to be reviewed. You will either approved of rejected.
12. Checkout Other Ads Networks:
There are other ads networks better than Google AdSense that can pay double the amount you are already getting with AdSense.
Though, these are premium ads networks, which means there are strict rules and requirements to reach before you qualify to monetize your blog using any of them.
Some of these ads networks that pays higher than AdSense include:
- ClickBooth, etc.
13. Sell direct Ads space:
Instead of sharing you ads revenue with Google and other ads company, why not hunt for advertisers yourself and keep all the money? This is something you should consider if you want to make enough money from your blog.
If your blog has enough traffic, advertisers can contact you for adverts placement on your blog. If you like the price, you can place their adverts and collect the money.
Here is how to do it:
- Install and activate Advanced ads on your WordPress blog
- Install, activate and set up woocomerce on your blog
- Install “Selling Ads” add-on for advanced ads
- On your WordPress dashboard, go to “Advanced Ads > Settings > Selling” to set up the basic options.

If you must make money blogging, you must choose the right niche and dedicate a huge amount of time researching and creating contents that your audience will consume.
